Lloret Sostenible by Bioscore: a pioneering project in sustainable management
Bioscore is privileged to lead, together with Lloret de Mar City Council and Lloret Tourism, the Lloret Sostenible by Bioscore project, a strategic initiative that establishes a public-private collaboration framework to promote the sustainability of the destination and all the agents linked to its tourism activity. The common goal is to unify efforts and generate a positive impact on the economic, social and environmental development of Lloret de Mar, promoting a more responsible and competitive tourism model.
Destination Sustainability Management System Certification
Lloret de Mar has become the first destination to obtain Bioscore Sustainability certification, a milestone in the sustainable management of tourist destinations. This recognition is based on a comprehensive system of monitoring and analysis of key indicators, managed through the Bioscore Data Platform, which allows to evaluate progress and ensure continuous improvement.
To achieve this certification, participating agents must comply with minimum sustainable management criteria, such as:
- Recording of energy and water consumption
- Calculation of carbon footprint and water footprint
- Efficient waste management
- Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies.
